Art and culture have inspired my life in profound ways. Here’s one of my favorite pieces of art I’d like to share with you. I’ve actually had the opportunity to experience Monet’s Garden in person and it’s a true work of art!
After Claude Monet’s financial struggles had ended in 1893, he purchased a plot of land, near his home in France, with a pond, where he began spending money on the upkeep of the gardens. With this new land, he built a space “for the pleasure of the eye and also for motifs to paint.” Having achieved this goal, the pond and gardens became the subject and inspiration of a series of paintings for which he has become renowned.
